The Streaming Festival is an art event for independent artists exhibiting unconventional audiovisual art from all over the world. This event takes place once a year.
However, each month another thematic program is broadcasted. VisualContainer started of the new year with their "Analog ready-made for digital redeem-aid" program
and now in February it’s CultureTV’s turn to show a program surrounded around the term "Generative X". Check out the February program on the Streaming Festival with films made by Daniel Piker, Glenn Marshall, Takmi Ikeda, Christopher Warnow, Gwen Vanhee and Don Releya.
The term "generative art" does not refer to an art movement but to how the art is made, to the method which is used. It does not take into account why it was made or what the content of the artwork is.
